Its a terrible shame to how bitter you Wire fans are towards Saints Wigan and even Leeds at a stretch.
Its a tremedous achievement by Saints to be top of that pile, and their points scored is very impressive - although Im quite shocked that we have conceeded less than you guys - It really does show that you have been part of 'however you men score, we'll just score 30 more'
Its alright saying youve won 2 challenge cups in the past 2 years, but when you start winning a few League titles is when you can properly challenge other clubs fans on their successes. We have 19 and im sure Saints are not far behind.
As much as us and Saints are massive rivals (biggest in superleague) - we have a mutual respect for each club and can recognise achievements what each club have made - even through our gritted teeth.
Big clubs win leagues, not just cup competitions.

| Isn't it lovely how Wire fans have managed to make Wigan and Saints fans unite under some sort of respectful umberella.
Wire should head out to the Gaza Strip next.

I was just thinking about that,
i have started to have a geniune dislike for wire fans (not all of them), its not because of all the super leagues they have won , its because they have won 2 trophies in god knows how many years and all of a sudden they are the best team to grace the planet with in the last 20 years.
If in 15-20 years they have eclipsed Saints, Wigan, Leeds and bradford in success then i will hold my hands up and say im wrong but until then they are not even close to have a peroid where they can dominate/

| Well the circle turns and currently we are on a slight down slide, but hopefully our wheel turns alot faster than that of the Wire and we will not spend the next 50 years wandering the wilderness. As it is nothing has been won yet and as far as the CC goes, this next round Wire do have a really tough draw. So pesky little side called Wigan, I've heard they are rather good to at the moment. Although due to my GF amnesia syndrome I can't quite recall why they are seen as so good.

| Wigan must be above Leeds now according to that table, but Leeds have one twice as many title's. Which proves one thing - Warrington are the best team in the NRL.

Yet more wire fans getting hyper, after 13 years of "groundhog day" they have slipped into " back to the future" mode. Hope they are ready for the big fall in the play offs, would there fans be able to handle it.

| No one's denying Warrington have a good team and are in with a shout of the championship its just that some of their fans are acting like teenagers who've just discovered sex and think they've invented it.

| Congrats. I don't think there is anything shocking about this.
It's like saying who has sold more records Cliff Richards or Fleet Foxes.
One was on top for ages and appears to have left the glory days behind them and the other is infinitely more talented now and will go on to better things. (Wire are the infinitely more talented one in the analogy)
In all seriousness Saints had a dominant period when Wire were finding their feet (poor excuse... we'll say struggling) and I don't think any Wire could deny that. As I said congratulations but there is no shock there.
I am much more interested in the future. I think Wire will do well this season and if not... Qui sera

The future signs are that Wires success could be short lived. For the 2012 season wire will have 10 to 11 players over the age of 30, saints have released around 2 players a season when this situation arises.
So what will wire do, will they release 5 or 6 players a season which would mean the team being unstable when you add the usual injuries. In 2 years they will probably have to replace Briers, Monah M, Monah J, Morley, Carvell, Westwood, Woody, Clarky, Solomona, Hodgson, Waterhouse etc, and replace these players up to the same standard to carry on any future success.
Leeds are a similar example now where they have around 5 players not up to scratch consistently, whereas saints are on the upward side of transition and still challenging that all all important top 4 status like they have done for the last 15 superleague years.
We already know the Warrington Youth service area is one of the worse for development progression, with young players being snapped up by wigan and St helens amateur feeder clubs. Maybe the wire will find a couple of players playing in the Warrington Basketball League.
