Oh how we chuckled when Leeds hired McDermott.



Who would we rather have now?

TBF, I didn't. In fact I do recall touting him as a suitable replacement for McNamara a while back. However, af, the Quins expert, took great delight in suggesting it was a silly suggestion...........

They had very different jobs to do, so you can't make a fair comparison based on what has happened. McDermott was tasked with trying to refresh an ageing, successful side by changing their playing style and introducing some younger talent. It's been a bumpy ride but two finals, and the fact Leeds are a better team to watch now suggest he has done a good job of it so far.



Potter hasn't had success in turning round years of poor recruitment and decline, although McDermott is doing well at Leeds it doesn't automatically follow he'd have been better at Odsal.

It would have taken some skill do do worse tbf.

Two totally different jobs at each club so I don't think it is easy to compare. However you could say that McDermott has over-achieved with the squad at his disposal by getting Leeds to two Finals. Whereas Potter should have at least got us into the 8 this year with the players we had. I thought Potter was the right man for this job this time last year and I still think he can steer us back towards the play offs. I do wonder if he realised the extent of the problems that must be at the club.



As for the game last night.. what a superb game it was. I haven't enjoyed a game so much for quite some time. Congratulations to Leeds they deserved to win the game and I must admit I wasn't too sad to see Wire dumped out. I'm sure they'll squeeze some more value out their cap to get the job done for next year though.

I'd rather have Potter, any day of the week!

i still believe in MP like I've said give him this season and see what he does with the squad. trust MP!!

Totally different situations, but McDermott has obviously overachieved, fair play to Leeds but even the most die hard of Rhino fans were pretty contempt with 5th and making it to a Cup Final. Potter has his role to play in our recovery but i think he failed to realise how big a task he was taking on when he first signed

As has been said difficult to compare but McDermott has got the best out of his players when it matters, same can't be said for potter. A few bulls players have shown glimpses of what they can do but for what ever reason this wasn't brought out of them when it mattered

Difference is Leeds have a few more stars than us, they showed classic rhino traits last night in scoring tries out of nothing. He's also turned Ryan Bailey into the form prop, something I never thought I'd say. The burrows sub tactic appears to be working well too

It's working well at winding up Stevo and Eddie too.
