| To help the club out of HIS mess?
How much has HE pledged from his bank balance, which I suggest is more than most on here?
Interesting to know TBH.
I reckon he should be made to carry the begging buckets personally round the fans at the next game - and give everyone the chance to have their say.

| Had you taken the trouble to look, you would see that Hood (and the other directors) gave personal guarantees in support of the company's debts in the last set of accounts. As in...house and all on the line.
I suspect they may also have given personal guarantees to the bank, since that is common with lending to sports clubs, but that cannot easily be ascertained or verified.
If you had taken the trouble to check at Companies House, you would see he also bought a considerable number of shares off another major shareholder a few months ago.
I suspect that Hood stands to lose more than most should the club fall over.
I am far from being Hood's biggest fan right now, after I was suckered in January and made a fool of myself suggesting the finances had been sorted. But a bit of balance is in order, would you not agree?

| Sorry Adey but think ME does have a point.
He may have put more on the line in the past, but he has more to do with us being in this mess than anyone else. As a Bradford Bulls fan i've contributed every penny I can into the pledge. Think Mr Hood should do the same tbh, regardless of whether he's put things on the line before.

Who said anything about "before"?
I am talking about NOW.

But even so, I've put more than I could probably afford in as I can't bear to think of life without the Bulls. If you think that P Hood could honestly say he's put all he can in then I'll drop it.

| He might do the job for nothing. We don't get paid to support the club home and away, but were still pledging.
He's a passionate bulls supporter isn't he?

Aye and he is STILL overpaid.
From what I can see, Hood has one of three options if he wants to help.
1. Make a considerable pledge.
2. Walk away
3. (preferred option) He does 1 AND 2. (after all his position is completely untenable)
TBH I would not give that man the steam off my p!ss. The club yes, him? Never.
He even LOOKS like Peter Ridsdale.

| I think there is a point here about the shareholders. What are they doing whilst everybody scrambles around appealing throughout the world of rugby league for 500k or £1million to simply give to their business, thereby inflating the value of their holding and bizarrely making the club more expensive to buy.
It's obviously going against the grain and whilst the sentiments of former players and the rugby league family is impressive, there is something morally repugnant about this.

Of course there is.
However I think we can all now agree that Hood is not a "fit and proper person" to run a sports club and, TBH, is an absolute disgrace of a man. It is too late for him to right his numerous wrongs but he could at least try and show some form of decency towards the people he has deliberately misled for some time now.
