The obvious ones would be the 3 who were originally selected to go to Aus with the u18's.

Bateman we know about, McAvoy & Roberts?

McAvoy deserves a chance next year. Roberts is about 1/2 years off making any sort of 1st team apperence unless we draw a Championship 1 team at home in the cup.

Im not on about lads we currently have, but lads signed from Amateur teams to start their careers as pros this year?

I can only think of 1 player but he was at Leeds but wasn't one of the 6 retained. Kyle Akrigg. He plays for Keighley ARLFC 1st Team and U18's with me. He's still only an U17 in age wise. Excellent feet, pace to burn and a very good set of hands. Was always going to be selected behind Elliott Minchella as he is the favourite in that team. But I believe Akrigg has the full package. I'd get him signed. He was at the Bulls before but went to Leeds.

So barley anyteam in SL has signed youngsters this year yet then?

Unfortunatly many youngsters who are picked up for scholarship isn't in the news so real news is hard to come by. However I know we took on some U15's a couple of months back. I know we got Callum Knight and Lee Johnson from Dudley Hill. Knight will turn into a good player, I think Johnson is good but over-rated.

Elliott thinks hes a standoff, but hes a loose, hes a gobby little git who thinks hes miles better than what he actually is, hes so far behind kruise leeming in rugby terms and physique its untrue, personally i dont think he will make it.



Thers two excellent props at wyke u14s who bulls should be looking to sign on, arafat and tevin..tevin is sensational..ive never seen a young player with such size speed and brain as him..young jordan the captain is also one who can turn it on as is their fullback lewis.



At bowling u14s they need to get jake signed up, he is by far and away their best player.

About a third of the Dudley Hill U'14s team were told at beginning of Aug that they had Bulls scholarships (incl Callum & Lee). Talking to Medley at the Hull match, he was hopeful that the Scholarship scheme would continue but couldn't guarantee it.

Dude, what I mean is not guys being signed to scholarships,, or the guys already in our squads, but like last year when we announced Naughton, Conroy etc etc. Like 16 year olds, that are being signed to play academy. I know we havent announced any yet, but I was wanting to know if other teams had announced the influx of new juniors.
