| Some of the tackling was school boy level, I know it's been a difficult week but they didn't look I interested at the start. Salford looked dodgy when we went to the wings, just a shame we didn't do that often enough.
Addys kicking for touch was a change for the better, we actually got some distance.
I really fear for our attendances as the last ten minutes cannot disguise that dour performance, tbh if I didn't have a season ticket I'd be seriously considering whether I'd go for the rest of the season if that's how we're going to play.

| What has happened to Halley? Is it still the foot injury that is keeping him out? Or did I miss the announcement why he wouldn't be playing?

| I was wondering today is the on-field display is a ploy by the Bulls. I don't often have more than a pint of lager at a game but I had several today. I think it helped, I might get there earlier in future and have a few more!!

| For long periods we were camped in the opposition quarter but seemed to be bereft of ideas of how to break them down, unless it involved charges by the forwards or easily predictable set moves.
We rarely asked enough questions of the Salford defence and looked badly in need of a playmaker. Unfortunately the only player capable of sorting this out is in Australia. Occasionally we put something together, Addy's kick for Menzies was great but it was a rarity.
I thought we got bullied in the forwards and in defence we dropped off tackles. Salford critically were far more clinical and seemed to be able to score whenever they got a chance, which wasn't often. Our opening 10mins was utterly awful (as is par for the course lately). Then we more or less dominated possession and position without really looking like scoring. We really lack creativity and finishing power.
At points it was as if the players seemed to just be going through the motions. There was a hush in the stadium and it was a really demoralising experience. Then in the last 10 mins we seemed to wake up but it was far too late. We'd already spent the previous 30mins looking less than ar5ed.
The worrying thing is I really can't see where another win is coming from this season. It's no good playing for the odd 10mins here or there. But we don;t seem to manage to play to a consistent high level.

| Same old same old.
Pathetically hopeless early doors, shipped in two disgraceful tries in first few mins. How the HELL did we fail to tackle anyone on that run from our own in -goal area?
Then the usual middle of the game trying to stem the tide. Loads of time camped in their half and near their line...clueless almost every time YET AGAIN. At leas Finnegan and Addy looked good and interested. And, YET AGAIN, after ages getting nowhere, they get the ball and just make it look so easy. Defence? Tackling? Wozzat? 10-30, twelve to go and its season over.
Then - yet again - the comeback, when we actually start to look good and maybe even a team again. Three quick tries and the miracle is on.
And we had plenty of opportunity to steal it right at the end. But managed to find a way of not doing so.
Bloody sodding Groundhog day. HOW many times this season??? Season's end, methinks.
In fact, had the song by Marillion of that name going through my head on the way back. If was less busy, think I'd do a parody of the lyrics for Bulls. Start with maybe:
Getting close to seasons end
I heard somebody say
That Bulls might never win again
In Bradford...
Hard to see where any more wins this season are coming from unless we get some bodies back and something changes dramatically.

| At times when we had position and possession we looked so clueless with the ball. Simple moves were poorly executed and we were so predictable. I recognise that we don't have regular playmakers out there but sometimes the standard of our dummy runners and passing was just awful.
Around the ruck we look ok, usually with L'Strange on. Less so with Godwin on. But once the ball goes past first receiver it's not slick enough and too easy to defend against. You know what's coming each time.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere or not, but from what I've heard, he sadly lost his father on Thursday - quite sudden and unexpected by all accounts. Very sad news - apparently his Dad was only 50. RIP.

| "oh look! I've got the ball!"
"...oh fook...I've got no idea what to do with it now..."
How many times did we see that?
******
If that's true about Halley, that's dreadful for the lad

| We look in dire need of a coach who can get heads up and work on getting the players to play as a team.

Perhaps more importantly we need to take all our eggs out of the one basket for next year. Without Orford we're too predictable to defend against, we desperately need to recruit a stand off for next year. Kearney isn't the answer and neither is Sykes. If we lose Ox again next year we'll be in the same boat, regardless of who is coaching from the sidelines.
