agreed but Kops rather than Hargreaves 2nd row, the stats say it all, 4 tries, more meters per carry more tackle busts more offloads by Kops but Bryn much lower missed tackle rate so keep him in doing the business in the middle.

Koppy isnt a backrower by any means. He's a prop and prop only

I am not saying he is a 2nd row, just the better choice of a prop to play 2nd row against cats on the stats this season. at least we agree that as much muscle is required in the pack as possible.

I'd guess that Potter is more likely to play a prop at 13 than in the second row. He would still be defending in the middle 4 that way rather than putting a slower man on an edge. I'm pretty sure he played Hargreaves there earlier this year. My starting pack would be:

Lynch Diskin Koppy

Elima Whitehead

Hargreaves

Hargreaves played loose forward against Wigan

So, I guess the question we have to consider is why it would work now? This all seems to be based on the idea that since Catalans have a big pack, we should try and match them.An alternative scenario is to play a faster, lighter, fitter pack and try and run them off their feet. In other words, guys like Whitehead, Donaldson and Olbison (if fit) in the back row....

agreed, in B4C2010s team and my variation Whitehead and Donaldson are in there, Donaldson bench, for me that is to get at their forwards in the last 20 minutes and nick it by 1 point. shame Heath is injured as he would be the key to bring on, O'brien seemingly not in the reckoning.

I wouldn't disagree with the 5 prop option either. Herbert's kicking has to be spot on, which it was at headingley, otherwise a big pack can badly run out of petrol.

We have had a day's extra rest than Catalan and a much shorter journey, so excuse me for not thinking thats much of an excuse for not performing.
