Sorry to go back in timebut we bought the fastest winger in the clubs history from Wakey. Olympic sprinter Berwyn Jones in 67, he was fast, I still recall standing on the path where the Coral Stand is now and watched him come accross from the left wing and score in the right corner by the flag. Hardly a defender appeared to move. Went on to Saints then had early chronic illness.

Thought hodgson came from wharfedale rugby union then went back again after left us..scored a fair few tries for wharfedale playing fullback and rebroke his leg again..havent heard of him since then so presume that ended his career..was a bad break he got tho when played for us..was it against paris at home just after we won title at sheffield. |
