Sykes is an experienced super league player who basically cant be d! If you look at him he seems totally out of the team .. lets face facts .. Salford went down his side of purpose .. they did the research and found our weakest weak point! it was no fluke!



Re the half backs offering nothing .. they can only provide if we go forward we spent 60 mins on the back foot last night!

Maybe Sykes felt he needed to come inside more to cover the inept tackling in the middle, you singled out the tackle on Holdsworth, he tried a block tackle on a player going full pelt, who's quite a bit bigger than Sykes, right decision, poor attempt!



They where all crap, they all deserve singling out, including Herbert, Leeds Thursday, doesn't look good, too many players not that interested about playing for us, maybe thinking where a crappy little backwater club going nowhere, hopefully the near-and 20'000 what will be turning up will shock them into realizing they are not playing for a crappy little back water club and we deserve a damn site more than what were getting!

Sykes was no worse than any over player. Having one scapegoat is unfair and the defensive problems was the fault of a collective group of players defending poorly not just one man. We have a team of average players that cant meet supporters expectations and whilst we continue to recruit this calibre of player the results will simply remain the same.

The fantastic pledge scheme is frankly wasted on this group of players. Lose supporters again and i think it could take some doing getting them back again !

To be fair to Sykes, was he out of position because the rest of the defence wasn't sliding across quick enough? It's a team game and I think it's harsh to blame one player for the every try down his flank! Don't think he's having a good season though and he strikes me as being a bit of an outsider, with regards to the team, for some reason this season. He doesn't look a happy puppy.



I think we played terrible today and that was across the park, not just one player. It's harsh to judge Briggs' ability on the few games he's played! For God's sake give hime the chance to get some games under his belt! By all account he was good at Feath last year but it'll take time to get up to speed in SL and he hasn't had the best of starts. Same with Herbert, he's come from Aus to play in a new competition and he's spent half the games at the start of the season injured!

I think Briggs has potential where as Hawkyard didnt.

Hawkyard was asked to step up because the club were in a spot. He never purported to be a full time pro and so to use his name in that disrespectful manner makes you look ignorant and rude.

The whole side was crap yesterday. Sure Sykes had a bad game but so did everyone. The defence out wide was awful on both sides. In the middle we allowed heaps of offloads thanks to half hearted defending.



Nobody can come out of that game with any credit.

Just watched it back on the sky replay and it was much worse on TV. Sykes was no worse than anyone else. The missed tackle people seem to be concentrating on was one of about 7 in the build up to that try.
