The difference is Newton jumped 6" of the ground & had his elbow horizontal at his own head height, away from his body, there could be no other target than Thackray's head . Ablett's forearm was vertical tucked into his body with his elbow near his waste. There was no similarity between the 2. Having said all that, it was a terrible tackle but not malicious IMO, he has no form as far as I am aware. One that probably deserves 1 match, but I wouldn't complain if he got 3.
