Tomkins was class today. It's all very well saying we should tackle him but it's much easier said than done.

I agree. When he chimes into the line he is virtually unstoppable.



Wigan are going to be very tough to beat this year. Honestly, I think the Grand Final is theirs to lose, so long as they can keep at that level.

It's VERY early for that kind of talk.

To say it's theirs to lose is a little disrespectful to the other teams IMO

Wigan where exceptionally well drilled with every one understanding their roles. They ruthlessly go at your weakness whilst controlling the ruck better than any other team in the competition. It would take a very strong team to beat them over a full season.

I don't think its disrespectful at all, although I do agree its early. Wigan could get a run of injuries or lose form.



But having watched all the games on Sky over the Magic Weekend, two games this weekend, and today's game live of course, I don't see a team that's really on their level



Just my opinion of course

Back to back titles for Wigan this year. They look strong enough to win everything.

I think we have to accept that this year's recruitment policy was about building a good squad depth, which we sorely need at the moment, which has meant forgoing some quality.



We're not going to beat a team like Wigan, or even give them a close game, when we're so predictable in attack. We desparately need options other than giving the ball constantly to Kearney and scoring from last tackle kicks.



Next week should give us a better indication of where we really stand.

I said when the fixtures came out that next week (Crusaders) was our "start of the season".

A win next week is vital IMO

It was good to be back at Odsal and have a big crowd in attendence.



I do think we played well today, but its good to see we have a lot of areas we can improve on, and our squad will get stronger when Pat, Lima, Finch and then Hock arrive back in the squad.



Regarding tackling Sam, many have tried and many have failed - I dont think he played that well today. He was ouur man of the match dont get me wrong, but theres a lot more to come from him when he gets match sharpness up as he missed a chunk of pre season injured.
