Long's disciplinary hearing has now been moved to tomorrow as he was ill yesterday. If he gets a ban tomorrow afternoon I assume there aren't any bureaucratic procedures to be completed which would mean his ban starts after our Friday game would there?

That could only happen when they're due to face Bradford, further proof that the RFL hate Bradford and are conspiring to screw us over every which way possible.

I thought Hull had played better without him anyway? Get him in the team, wind him up and get him sent off again.

Bateman in for Briggs and L'Estrange in there but not 100% fit. Would like to see Heath fit and back in the team but also interested to see how Bateman will go in SL.

Bateman was immense last weekend in the U20's I thought.

If batemans been playing a bit at hooker, squad would make sense. otherwise its a gamble including l'estrange (if not fully fit) and not having o'brien in squad (in addy's absence).

Not really. If L'Estrange isn't fit, they can always bring O'Brien in to replace him anyway if they want. Much like they did last week with Addy, despite the fact Addy wasn't named in the 19.



If a player is legitimately injured, he can be replaced in the 19 man squad.

True, and at least we stick to that guideline and dont drop people in and out of 19 man squad for less honest reasons like certain other teams.

Long not in the squad for us, don't know which way this will go but i can say our boys will be fired up after an incredibly frustrating game last week.

Sam always seems to raise his game against us for some reason.

Usually because he's playing hooker and is good at scooting from dummy half. And since any hooker that is good at that traditionally has a field day against us, I'd say that's probably why.



I don't think Obst replacing Long makes as big a difference these days though as it would have a year or two ago, so don't think Long being missing is too much of an advantage.

I wouldnt take it as a given that Long will be missing anyway. Wouldnt surprise me in slightest if discplinary let him off.
