Alas I'm leaning more toward Smokey's argument on this one. Unless we can gain rapid promotion to SL from the championship I can see the club withering away.



I said during administration that it was a "Koukash or bust" situation since you need the backing of a millionaire with money to fritter away to survive in SL (unless you happen to be in Leeds). Green isn't that man.



I think we could survive at a push but we'd be at the lower end of SL and not ever seriously challenging for honours.



That's if we can get a good new deal to play at Odsal. If not then all bets are off. That big old place a is a millstone but we've precious few options in the city. VP might work but would need to be cheaper and as equal partners with City. I can't see that happening.

I'm optimistic - I think SpanishBob may have made a couple of valid points.



I'm encouraged to think that our income from the RFL with the parachute payment and TV money will mean we actually receive more cash compared to the last 2 seasons.



If we can somehow manage to build a competitive side that is capable of winning more games than it loses, we should see the fans coming back to watch a decent game.



Problem is, the squad needs building now otherwise all the decent championship quality players will already be signed up.



A coach with a high profile in the game might help us encourage some of the 'quality' players to sign for the Bulls rather than another top 4 championship side. The main thing is, we need to start planning now.

It will be interesting to see where the team runs out next year if not Odsal.



VP - too big for Championship crowds, and probably more expensive to hire at least.

I think we'll be at Odsal but just using the main stand for many of our games. I'm not sure that's sustainable long term - I just hope we get promoted 1st time of asking!



Cougar Park won't be getting a visit from me. It may be a shortish walk for me but I won't be able to see the action on the pitch for all the chips on shoulders blocking my view.

Agree about Odsal. We may move at some time, like if div 2 starts to seem a bit permanent but I can't see it being top the agenda any time soon.



What you got against our friends from Keighley, Bullseye? Fair enough, a few get a bit chippy on the boards from time to time, [as do some Bulls'fans...but when you talk to them they're generally a fine bunch. I had to write that, btw, I know a few Cougars that I refer to as mates and I'd be deader than our chances of staying up if I didn't...

I understand that we will play from Cougar Park next year, as they offered to let us use the ground rent-free so all their fans can come every week and laugh at us.
