tigertot has explained to me that technically, you wouldn't apparently get much "business" soliciting behind closed doors, it is apparently an outdoor activity. I don't know how he knows so much about it, or why he said "business" in quotes, but whenever he's at the Fighting Cock, he does seem to spend an unusual amount of time on the pavements outside.

It takes my mind back to 20 years ago when I first arrived in Bradford. Being extremely popular I was invited down to the FC one night of my first week. A colleague dropped me off on the corner outside the FC & drove off. It was about 9pm on a cold, damp November evening. It did cross my mind I could have mistakenly stumbled across a satanic cult & I was going to die.

A mechanic I used to know said he used Swarfega, as he could nick as much as he wanted from work so it was free, and he reckoned it was win-win as he didn't heed to wash it afterwards.
