Personally, if it had been, say, Charnley I would have said a fine & a warning was sufficient, so I think he has got off fractionally lightly, but I won't be frothing at the mouth about it. Cue disgrace/joke/bent etc etc.

Suspended fine of £1000 is not a strong message. Seems RFL caved in.

What is the point? Another stupid thing to be done by the idiots who run our sport. If I put what I really thought about them and Tomkins it would be deleted instantly, yet he makes the game look bad and he gets that. I think we need a change of management in our sport.

It was a stupid thing he did. He's been fined by his club and he has a suspended fine from the RFL.

Seems the RFL dealt with it exactly as they should have, to me. Including ignoring Apoplectic of Headingley. BTW we were at the top of St Ives yesterday when Mrs A came out with "Isn't it around here that we saw your mate teletubby?"
