| Well I will go all out and say Thomas is the worst fullback I have seen in a Bulls shirt. 'Confidence' player? When has he actually had any? 1 game in his 32 games for us? The only thing I have ever seen him do was a great try against Workington last season when he beat a man then went the length to score. He offers nothing in attack and his defence is woefully shocking. I will be fair and say he is a very good goal kicker though but at the moment I feel like that is all he is being selected for.
I mean I didn't particularly like Ryan Shaw because he couldn't tackle or catch at times but at least he offered a couple of things like goal kicking, very good support play and always seemed to score tries.

| This certainly is our season of hard knocks re 'missing' performances and untimely injuries. Mostly to 11th hour signings meant to strengthen us.May be harsh, but have we got the right coach for the job? If nothing else, to improve cohesion and develop the basics in attack and defence. We are also full timers and less skilful part timers seem better coached and know their game plan more than ourselves. There is only so much you could put down to lack of experience. Prior to this regime we had pride in our youth development squad AND in that department..we still have and we are progressing almost with the status quo structure, but little improvement with the new guard re 1st team results. I accept that we have hardly had a settled team and loanees that have been recalled at unfavourable times, but the planning for this important season as been abysmal imo.

Special shout out to Mendeika who physically is an absolute mess. His body looks broken. My gran in lead boots can run faster than him. He has an absolute inability to draw any man in. The only player he successfully tackled today was our own player.'"
Are you sure you were at the game? Because that is complete and total horsesh*t. I'm no Mendeika fan by any stretch, but he repeatedly made one-on-one ball-and-all tackles at Batley. I won't disagree with him being useless in attack, but to say the only player he tackled today was his own is just completely wrong.
However I don't dispute your comments on Oscar. I was at the game today (against my better judgement) and he was bloody awful. That bit where he got dragged into touch after collecting the ball near the line was comfortably the most stupid thing I've seen in a Bulls game in years. All he had to do was run in field, instead he chose to run at the two chasers near the line. The lad is clueless.

| Whichever division we end up in, the majority of this squad aren't good enough and if they find out sooner rather than later, all the better.

| Hopefully we are headed for a big clearout at the end of the year.

| It's all very well talking about a 'clear out' but who are we going to get who is decent when we are playing in League One?
It comes back, again, to the issue of full-time vs part-time. If we try and stay full time we are going to be having to sign the very worst players who are prepared to be full-time? Because all the better full-time players are going to play at SL level or top of the Championship level.
As we've seen throughout this season, that level of full-time player isn't good enough to match the part-time players in the Championship.
It [imight[/i just get us through League One, I suppose - but maybe not, as we are going to be up against some highly motivated teams such as Keighley, Hunslet, Whitehaven (or Barrow, whichever doesn't go up with Toronto), Workington, plus whoever gets relegated with us - just the sort of teams who seem to be able to raise their game and roll over 'the mighty Bulls'

Top and bottom money talks. If the money is going to be there to tempt better players they will come, I think with recent signings there seems to be an ability to bring people in. If not its difficult to say where we will be. The fact Phil Jospeh went to Workington rather than sign full time with us said a lot about what was on offer at the start of the year. One thing regardless of league that needs to happen is the complacent attitude we saw under Jimmy. In League One I think part time is the way to compete for the better players if we arent in a position to do a Toronto

Toronto appear to have done alright with a full time squad in League 1.
It's all about the money...

It's true we've brought in names which I'd have though unrealistic a few months back.
Leaving aside the finance, and how it's 'suddenly appeared' when we'd all pretty much accepted that there wasn't any, the one thing we don't know is the content of the contracts. We're all well aware of the, "if a SL club comes in for me", terms and the fact that SL contracts are automatically ended on relegation, but maybe it also works between Championship and Champ1 in exactly the same way? Maybe the new signings, which appear to cover next season, just won't apply if we get relegated. Maybe all our squad will be free agents?

And considering the total lack of answers you get on every other subject from ChaLo, I wouldn't expect to know about those things until said players either turn out for us next season or confirm they've gone elsewhere.
