Just to throw a curve ball in, with Pat Richards going back down under and Foster only being on a one year deal and living over the dark side of the Pennines, does anybody think he'll end up at Wigan?

Wouldnt rule it out as a possibility as wigan could definitely outbid us financially, although I'd hope the team spirit within our group of players would make him want to stay. Also he's come up through st helens youth system and would imagine the rivalry with wigan is pretty ingrained.

Two thoughts here

Wigan will look for a goal kicker to replace the prolific Richards. And for a winger to replace him: these are not

mutually inclusive. Wigan's aspiration for a new winger will be for one that has much more pedigree than Foster

has at the moment.

Foster has had an unsettling career to date. After a great year at Saints in 2011 he was loaned out to Hull in 2012.

Perhaps the offer from the Bulls of a decent term contract might outsway a better financial package elsewhere?

He needs some security to develop his potential.

For those reasons our offer could be financially better than Wigans



Didn't Matty Smith kick well for them a few weeks back and Charnley is a decent kicker too

Plus with him playing for at Helens and living in st Helens he won't get as kuch grief from the bulls fans as he would from wigan, still don't think a lot are.sold on long yet due to the fact he was a hate figure during his time at saints

Charnley, Tomkins and Smith can all kick for the Warriors.....pretty sure that Green has kicked one or two in his time. If not they always have Deacon who can coach someone how to kick a goal.

And Iestyn, he could kick a good goal

Foster was a regular Wigan supporter at Central Park when he was kid. Frano Botica was his hero.

I think Wigan will be setting their sights a little higher than Foster to replace Richards

But having said that I think he is our best winger,just not in Wigans class as we speak

I think Wigan's priority will be a winger rather than a kicker, they have got in-house options but the financial muscle to attract someone like Briscoe. Richards was past his best but developed into a great servant.
