Quote AaronBull="AaronBull"These comments echo the beauty of rugby league, and how it is unparallel with any other sport in the world. We are such a community within RL, and no matter how Newton was on the field, his loss is a truly magnified one for the game. Anyone who disagrees doesn't deserve to be an RL fan.
I loved Newton when he was at the Bulls. Truly did. I'll be wearing my Newton shirt on Saturday at the GF as a mark of respect for him. He was 110% rugby league, and he made a mistake and was punished for it, but I won't speculate the reasons. All I will say is Terry Newton, wherever you are now, you gave me great pleasure in watching rugby league. RIP big man. I'm sure there's a team up there you'd walk straight into.'"
Spot on pal. ,my admiration and support for Newton is as big as I have had for any player, ever.
I liked him for the exact same reasons as you, he was 100% every single time, even when injured, as he was alot of the time when pulling the jumper on for us.
Terry busted his nuts off for us, and it sucked at the time that a lot of fans couldnt see it.
Shame that the injuries that he tried to fix have(probably) and play on with, led to him taking his own life.
RIP Tez.
As Ive said on my facebook.
Once a Bull, Always a Bull.
