I was all in favour of the club extending the deadline over the weekend, just thought they should have announced it on Friday.



There must be a concern though, that the longer the club delays the announcement the greater will be the level of non payment. The passage of time since pledging will make some people will feel less obligated to pay, they will argue that the club have moved the goalposts etc. If they pledged iwhen swept up in the emotion of the crisis, they might have since become more detached, might question whether they can afford to honour their pledge.

The tone of the statement sounds very positive about the talks that are under way so hopefully one of these will come off bringing in a new shareholder with new ideas and hopefully a profitable business plan to ensure we don't go this way again while still being competitive on the field
