Depends if he was given permission. If a player is allowed by the club to speak to someone, they can do it whenever they like. If him and Lowes didn't see eye to eye, there's every chance Jimmy would have let him speak to whoever he liked.

Lowes had gone by end of April so even with the new date it still looks dodgy - unless, as Hamster suggested, he may have had permission.

IIRC last year of a contract they can start talking to other clubs from April. Don't think they can sign anything until May though.

Addy definitely needed a fresh start. As for Clark, well, he's hardly pulled up trees in the second half of the season.

Sort of agree to be honest, though I would guess that virtually all clubs would have had their 'ins and outs' sorted well before the relegation was decided, so maybe it's not totally surprising.
