SL / RFL owning a team in SL. Sorry but i am now done with the game of rugby league.

now that's set a precident....any other club that finds itself in admin will expect the same treatment..........



what if no-one comes forward...will the RFL spend up to the full cap next year....something that other SL clubs are unable to do...



are they going to pay all the creditors ..??????

They must have read my "What Bradford have done for RL" post.

Hang on a min with the thread title amendment guys, they have only submitted a bid as of now. It could still be refused!

Be clear - the other SL clubs now own the Bulls, not the RFL.



I imagine they will want to sell them at the earliest opportunity though (credible buyers only need apply - not property developers).

I'd assume it will be done in a businesslike manner and what is spent on cap (assuming we're still in Sl, remember the RFL won't accept pre-conditions) will depend on how much takings are for season passes and the like.

This is like a miniature Northern Rock, with SLE as the government. Unless it's a very short term (ie sold on in the close-season) measure I can't see how it'll work.

I wonder if this is a ploy (albeit with a preparedness to act on the promise) to force the hands of the various consortia.
