The thing about this pledge scheme is they can't do this ever again. So if you're that convinced they'll mess things up after this you could look at pledging cash as if you are giving them enough rope to hang themselves.

That's an extremely good point. Slowly but surely the seam of goodwill which underpins the 'pledge' concept is being mined out. Even now there is the sense from the club that they can ride this out, get into the top 8, maybe a cup run and they will be out of the woods. When we were being told that Pledge 1 was a huge success and had resulted in increased income coming from season ticket sales we were actually asking the RFL for 700k.



Wakefield keeps being mentioned as an example of a club that came out of admin stronger than it went in. Perhaps, the more unnerving factor is that crowds are not massively improved despite Glover investing and the club looking strong. This is because he has to overcome a generation of failure wherein fans and sponsors alike turned their back on the club.

Wakefield are greatly improved after coming out of admin due to Mr Glover and so are the attendances. Last weekend our home attendance against Catalans was around the 7240 mark. Usually this fixture gets around 5.5k tops. The Catalans home fixture is a gauge of where a teams core support lies imo. No one wants go go through the adminstration route because it is a horrible and nervy time for all concerned. But for Trinity it was a blessing in disguise because Glover has given the club a greater level of professionalism in all areas.

I answered that on page 1. I will pledge, but not until there is a clearer picture of what is happening. Would you give away YOUR hard earned cash to somebody you cannot and do not trust?
