After yesterdays game kieron Cunningham should be up at Red Hall for a disciplinary.
It appears that the punch he has hit Stosic with has fractured his cheekbone and eye socket. In light of the fact it was an unprovoked cheap shot on a defencelss opponent it looks like cunningham will be having a big lay off from the game.
Even RED HALL cannot mess this one up.l

why a big ban?
Players don't get banned by how long the player they injured is out for.
It was wrong and was a cheap shot but I doubt he will get more than 2 games. |

They can as these are the AGGRAVATING FACTORS
Previous Record
Violence
Retaliation
Injury caused
Incident not part of play
Other aggravating factors
2.3.4 Injury
If the Misconduct has caused injury to an opponent, this may result in a higher penalty than if no injury had occurred.
If it is season ending injury the punishment has to go towards reflecting thatI cannot see Cunningham getting away with less than 3 games
otherwise players could go out to maim other players in the hope that they then will not have to play them at a later date |

I believe David Howell only got a 3 match ban due to a good previous record and the fact that Sam Tomkins wasn't injured. Maybe they do... |

They can, although I have to admit I've never seen anything recently that took it into account. However this is from the RFL's guidelines:
Quote Leeds_Rhydon2.3.4 Injury
− If the Misconduct has caused injury to an opponent, this may result in a higher penalty than if no injury had occurred.
− Panels may consider the length of time an injured opponent is likely to be out of the game when passing sentence.
