We can now exclusively reveal that on Thursday, 31 March 2011, the Vikings, the Raiders and Halifax will learn if their Super League licence application for 2012-14 has been given the ‘thumbs up'.

I expect that we will see Widnes get the nod for SL when the announcement is made as on the criteria that were required to be met they are ahead of the others.
The only way I could see them not doing is if they make a poor start to the season and at the time of the announcement they are down near the bottom of the league as that may tip the balance in Halifax's favour, as they have been consistently at the top end of the table whilst also making progress in terms of criteria to be met.
I do expect Widnes to get the provisionally guaranteed licence though.

The legaue season will only be three weeks old when the decision is made. Which means they will be kicking their heels for 17 league games which will mean absolutely nothing to them.

What are you smoking as when we was last in Superleague we got a few thousand more than Fax.That is a fact.  Widnes will have a good season under Betts and our squad is assembled well for the Championship.If we dont get in this time we will never get in Superleague.  |
