I think he's a clever man. If you sat down off the record with him I reckon he would admit that top 8 would be a good season. The top 4 talk is to get people talking about them, and it's worked.

Why is referring to a dr as 'the dr' obnoxious?

Ok he makes outlandish statements, but he is starting to give Salford an identify and turn it into a brand.



He's tuning a team who have been basement dwellers, posted small crowds and had no identify even in Salford into something bigger and better. In a couple of years they WILL be challenging for honours and considering what sort of club Salford have been, it's good for the game.

It's like me starting to watch lacrosse and in 2 years time be expected to know enough to run a lacrosse team.

I would need advisors advising me which players to acquire as well as which coach is best for the job.

I reckon the good doctor must have something pretty damning on Phil Clarke though.....
