every week , except at a few grounds do we have to listen to drums constantly banging out a dull tune, and leeds fans you know who you are, it spoils the game and it must put people off going, might as well allow vuvuzelos just to annoy every one even more, and dont get me started on trumpets

definatly! some may think it adds atmosphere, but its a false one! must have quiet supporters if they need a drummer/trumpet player to get their crowd going!

Some people like them. Some people don't. I'd rather listen to some people attempting to get the atmosphere up than deathly silence.



But I'd rather have an atmosphere that can spark itself into life spontaneously than need a band.

They are fine if they are banged to a rhythm that the crowd sing along with but when its just 80 minutes of monotonous banging for the sake of banging that is just plain irratating.



And as for that 'noise' at Leeds.........Jesus Christ !!!!

The odd drum to get the crowd going is fine, but the constant banging is awful it sounds like someone is doing some DIY while the game is on.

The drum at the giants is especially annoying as its just the same song every minute or so, but its at the clubs insistence rather than the guy himself, at wigan,warrington,leeds etc its the people who bang these things who think its a good thing

I think they should be banned. I support Fev and we have a drummer. What we need are more club songs like "Old Faithful," "When the red red robin," "When the Saints," and of course "We've swept the seas before boys" which no one seems to know the words of any more.

"Marching on together" is really a Leeds Utd song surely the Southstanders can come up with something a bit more original.

Yes drums and trumpets should be banned in my humble opinion. I'd much rather have the real atmosphere of the crowd, the chants, the singing, and not the false 'atmosphere' and tedious noise the instruments belt out.



But I would bring brass bands back at half time rather than cheerleaders / rubbish dance troupes!

I would allow drums, trumpets, didgeridoos or even the dreaded bagpipes into grounds on the strict understanding they must completely drown out the interminable:



"We're Leeds Rhinos" / equally imaginative "We're Quins RL".

Get them banned! Flares, on the other hand, are something I'd like to see more of, although I doubt many people would look on them too favourably.

That's a Euro wide (certainly UK wide) ban. Horrible things and remember when a Salford fan threw one at Richard Owen?

They could do with banning that bloody Beatles cover band, tonight. They sound pretty good, but the poor buggers on camera are practically inaudible.
