This is getting stupid. There's no real need to try and exploit every possible loophole in the qualification laws.



Why not spend the time and effort developing our own talent instead of trying to manufacture players from overseas. Reed, Heighington and Chase is more than enough, probably too much and we wouldn't be exactly devastated by not including any of them.

reed and heighington was both born in the uk wasn't they? if so they are english and i have no problems with them being selected but chase is a joke and so will this be if it happens. another 40 players on a list eligible to play for england?

McNamara can say whatever he wants in the press about players contacting him and convincing him they are playing for the right reasons but Chase was named in the New Zealand train on squad the year before he played for England and played in the Exiles game. Not something i would think was showing commitment myself if i was England coach. And for Heighington bit of a coincidence that he became committed to play for England the year McNamara took full charge of England. And the fact he is quoted as saying "Feleti is a class player, but it wouldn't be right for me to chase him to play for us," is pretty much saying show interest in playing for England and i have a shirt ready.

Is he? Did you actually read what McNamara's quote? It doesnt seem to be his agenda.

Reed was but Heighington was born in Sydney just has an English father. basically gave up getting in the Blues team got a call from McNamara and thought why not.
