Quote The Devil's Advocate="The Devil's Advocate"Perhaps G.H & R.H.P were planning phase one of Bradford’s revival as a major force in R.L.
Remember, back in the good old days, you know the ones, them good old days at Odsal when everything was good?
Or are you not a dewy-eyed Loiner?'"
Good old Loiner days are pre-Stupor League.
I never recognised Leeds V Bradford as anything other than a manufactured faux-derby between Bulls & Rhinos Stupor League brands possessing little to no historical relevance whatsoever, apart from in the minds of both clubs accountants during the first decade of Bollox League, Eddie & Stevo bigging it up at Sky and it's cretinous followers of course, and only then because the Bulls had in the region of 7,000 to 8,000 bandwagoners on-board at the time when woolly bully, bouncy castles and Fat Les were in vogue and cuddling some silverware.
Of course, now that the woolly bully franchise has turned into excrementitious matter, this alleged derby game has rediscovered it's true irrelevant vocation as it now ranks below Warrington V Widnes
I'm sure GH partly regrets his role in the demise of that rancid franchise (Harrisgate and all that) for no other reason that the loss of a couple of guaranteed 22K to 25K attendances will be felt even by a club with pockets the size of Leeds. Cutting off your nose to spite your face and all that... in retrospect.
