Turn the volume down and stream the local radio commentary instead.

By far the most annoying thing is how they consistently act as tho the viewers are watching RL for the 1st time, and feel the need to explain the rules.



How these 2 keep their jobs is extraordinary!

Carney and Wells are pretty decent tho but we do need a commentator that will commentate and not crack stupid jokes and waffle off subject

Ray warran uses first names all the time, but I suppose that's alright as he's 'Straylian'.

Sure I read somewhere the other week that Stevo is retiring when his current contract expires. Hopefully Eddie won't be too far behind.

i doubt they will take much notice but if everyone did the same maybe we could be shut of them



its like that dodgy Scottish commentator on the boxing, it puts me off the sport when someone is blabbering nonsense

The highlight for me was when Phil Clarke seemed to think it was worth devoting what seemed an age to discussing Eamonn O'Carroll's boots and who's responsibility it was to ensure he had the correct studs in.

Sky commentary is dire when Eddie and Stevo are on

Sick and tired of this thread every other week. The vast majority like them or are indifferent, yet the irate bunch believe their own opinion to be the gospel. I can't undestand how one can get so wound up about something so trivial. I think Ray Hadley is a bully and an awful commentator but I don't post on here about it and write to Channel 9 every Friday morning.



My grandparents have started watching RL for the first time this year, they seem to enjoy the commentary more than the game. Same with mates at uni. They don't have a clue who any players are but they can instantly recognise Ed and Stevo.

My opinion is that we just need a second set of commentators for the 2nd weekend game, a little change is always good and will give us a break from Eddie and Stevo, although, i've nothing really against them, it would be nice to hear different commentators on SL.
