Widnes will probably get it. But the way some of their fans are acting you'd think they were already there.

It's very disappointing really. After all the hot air and positivity about the future Super League takes another step backwards and reintroduces one of it's previous failures. Widnes may be better run than they were when they went into administration the last time they were in SL, but it's nothing to shout about.



The sport has been run terribly ever since they took the bold step of introducing SL. Every decision made since then, bar Catalans inclusion but including Crusaders, has been woeful.



Once they announce Widnes are back in Super League (Woo hoo) are they then going to ensure the likes of Saints, Quins, Cas, Salford, Wakefield and Crusaders are going to leaving if they fail to get proper facilities or fan bases?

all those who say widnes will and are odds on to get the licencse, just remember the 2012 olympic games, who were favourites to get them, paris, yet were pipped at the post by london, stranger things have happened

On what grounds would the RFL choose any of the other two instead?

Have I touched a nerve the only reason I think they would get better crowds is because they would draw alot of fans who watch the likes of hudds Leeds Bradford etc back because unfortunately people want to watch superleague so they went on to maybe not support these other teams but watch a better class of rugby but being in superleague again could get these people back
