I'd originally bought 7 on the £10 offer, tried adding another at 21 and only single seats left!! Sales must be going ok at an early stage, expect to see more of a rush after the grand final.

Yeah, I'd expect to see the upper tier opened for sale after the Grand Final if sales are going well.

Surely if the £25 areas are down to single seat availability, now would be the time to open up the upper tier? But then again it is the RFL...

No, I wouldn't say so. They have the play off semis to promote and 70 odd thousand tickets to shift for the Grand final. All focus and energy needs to be concentrated on that at the moment. The promotion for the Wembley double-header should begin at the Grand Final with a press release about the extended seating sent out on the Monday afterwards.



If they were to open the upper tier with lower priced tickets now that would detract some attention away from the Grand Final and means that folk are more likely to buy the cheap tickets behind the sticks than the more expensive ones in the middle of the pitch. This way they're concentrating resources and making sure there is less chance of big gaps in the middle of the pitch.



I'd say the best course of action would be to open up the upper tier of Wembley, have a knock down price range (£10-25 adults, £10 all concessions) and launch it at the Grand Final by getting the England train on squad, all wearing England jackets, to walk on pitch before the match and have someone announce the new offer.

I know that the RFL have already hit their minimum target on the Wembley attendance. No idea what this is but would imagine about 40,000.

whats happening with middle tier the club wembley people cant use it for this match. I bet the bottom tier alone only holds about 32,000.

Anything above this is pretty respectable IMO, given that there are few weekends where more than 70k fans attend a game.

A lot more people doing things like this would make such a difference to RL.

Its a great effort isn't it? But, what I've said all along is that it only takes 15,000 of the die hard fans to bring five other people with them to fill the stadium.
