Great news . Just subscribed again .

The news release on Premier Sports website [urlhttp://www.premiersports.tv/index/[/url (Click on Rugby League then NRL) states "No free viewing on streaming or betting sites."

Thanks for this. I'm not sure of the exact date that I subscribed last year, I just know it was around this time of year for obvious reasons.

Last time I checked I could still view the channel, and they had not taken any payment from my bank account. No email yet either!

Is the on-line streaming option free for those who have subscribed for the TV channel ?.

£10 a month or whatever premier sports costs for streams that are no better than what the bookies did for free is a joke

When Sky had rights they showed a Live Match at 10:30am on a Saturday (which is the lowest quality match slot of the NRL weekend) and another delayed on a Sunday. It wasn't great. I too resented Sky cherry picking the marquee matches. Whilst no HD is a negative, I'd rather see Channel 9's broadcast than Shaun McCrae and Jon Wells!!! Plus the length of this deal might just give Premier the impetus to launch HD. The fact this is for 5 years and they have NHL for 4 years gives them all year round content for those two sports at least.

That's what I read.



Premier don't often have a huge prematch programme or even a half time show, just lots of adverts for their own broadcasts or Aussie newspapers and the like. I'm not sure they will change from that, although a full channel 9 build up and programme would be nice.

This season they also have a lot of advert adverts too, and not just for rugby league products either. They appear to have hit on a formula that advertisers like as in spite of their programmes being advertised nowhere other than on the Sky programme timetable, they have been able to secure advertising packages.



I'd recommend their Championship coverage. While they don't have as many camera angles as Sky, they still do a great job and manage to really communicate the feel of the traditional rugby league matches which are the Championship games. Their commentary is excellent though and they manage to be witty without detracting from the match at all.



Whether online or on TV, £9.99 a month plus £2.50 per box for multiroom is a great deal if you love your rugby league.

I thought the Batley /Halifax game was a great advert for the game . The try at the end wouldn't have looked out of place in the NRL , Great effort.

The commentator's don't seem to dwell on ref's decisions as much as the sky team do, and they concentrate on just commentating on the game rather than talking gibberish and arguing amongst themselves.



Does anyone know btw if the streaming service will be streaming the games live or just showing them on demand?



I have sky but it's rare that I'm allowed control of the remote, so I'd need to just buy it myself online.





I wonder if they are trying to build up enough to maybe even go for superleague eventually? The way thing's are with sky/ Eddie and Stevo at the moment. If they where to offer a good enough deal I wouldn't complain.
