I do worry about some posters on these boards. Marc Padgett was clearly taking the mickey...he hit Tennis, Snooker, Soccer....and his comment about returning 'pop" bottles was just using a social stereotype that Peter Kay launched his career with.......one of his first stand up routines included a monologue about bottles of "pop". There’s no pressure for Marc Padgett to be churning out top notch articles you see. A majority of people who leave university with a journalism degree are more often than not put on internships to prop up the likes of Marc Padgett. Rumours were also rife last year that it was Huddersfield University students writing up Chris Irvine’s blog.



This is the way most industrys work in this country unfortunately. There’s a group of old timers at the top that won’t be moved until retirement no matter how bad their get. Marc Padgett doesn’t care about giving fans of sport something good to read and talk about. All he cares about is lining his pocket if this article if anything to go by.



Imagine if you put these university students in the same position as Marc Padgett and I bet on my last penny that he wouldn’t be writing something like that because he now has competition. Unfortunately he’ll carry on churning out garbage because I can’t see the exploitation of potential stopping anytime soon.
