90 % of the preparation to enter SL is to become full time with regards playing and coaching staff , can you explain how this would not impact unfairly upon the other clubs in the Championship and adversly affect the competitiveness we currently have ?

Because you dont need to go entirely full time.



The aim isnt to be an SL club in the championships but to build towards SL.



To give clubs two or three years to scout youngsters, to give them experience, to give them a full time coaching enviroment, to give an opportunity to a few diamonds in the rough. Maybe give shot to a few lads like Rory Kettlewell.



A squad of 6 or 7 youngsters with the potential to be SL players in the next few years, 5 or 6 diamonds in the rough who in a full time environment may be able to jump to SL and 5 or 6 players like Kettlewell with the rest of the squad filled with part time players would neither dominate the league nor be relegated.



Its likely that not all 18 players mentioned there will be good enough to make the jump, but if 50% are we have basically hit the jackpot.



and also 90% of the preparation shouldnt be on the field, if it is then the club hasnt prepared properly. by selling the sponsorship/corporates/advertising over 2/3 years rather than strying to do it in 6 months done correctly you will sell more of the ssame thing at a higher price.



It also gives you 2/3 years to build interest in SL, you have basically 2/3 years to sell your season tickets for that first year.

Yes you do , history tells us that to be competitive in your 1 st season in SL you stand a better chance if you are already full time in the lower tier , also operating half and half doesn't work in the Championships [ Widnes,Leigh and others have tried it , it doesn't work



Scout youngsters ? , from where exactly ? SL clubs ? , other Championship clubs ? , will these clubs release these players ? or are you suggesting clubs own juniors ?



So you are suggesting 18 full time players ? , fairly close to a full time squad would you not say , these 18 players are going to cost more than the Championship salary cap if you want to put some experience with them



Have you ever tried selling sponsorship/corporate outside SL , then answer is usually the same " Ring us when you are in " , this was the answer to Leigh when we approached Emirates airlines in 2003 , in 2005 they sponsored us , in 2006 they declined , so you can do all the contacting you want anyway , clubs are doing that all the time already , but the answer will always be ' when you are in , we will decide then



Sell your season tickets

, are you suggesting people will pay two years early for them ? , no you are not , but neither do you need two years to explain to somebody that you are going up to SL , a most idiotic statement for you to make

no, im suggesting it takes a lot more than simply taking orders to actually sell things. Im saying that two years of building interest for an SL club, advertising an SL club etc..... for two years will sell more tickets than doing it in 6months.



maybe this type of thinking and sheer inability to prepare or even know how to prepare for the future is the reason so many clubs in the lower leagues are struggling.
