Mossop was pretty pathetic stood behind his own players until Mcgennis looked away before slotting him and sneaking off back behind his team mates. There's an element of Karma given Mcgennis' own cheap shot on Tuson but still pretty sh*thouse tactic.



And FWIW thought Tuson was v.unlucky to get a ban (even if he did throw the most punches) and Hock was just well being Hock

How can you punch someone in the face if they've turned away? It's hardly sh*thouse tactics, it's called sticking up for your team mates. Mossop didn't punch Magennis as he was scrapping with Tuson. They had been separated and Magennis was throwing punches at O'Loughlin who hadn't thrown a punch himself and had been trying to break it up. Magennis then went throwing punches at someone else who is obscured from view which might have been Tuson yet again, although it could have been Mossop himself or just a swing at thin air.

Is there something in the water in wigan? Seriously everyone defends their own teams players but can you guys really believe that





Arms are fully articulated and as such punches don't have to be straight (for example a boxers hook shot normally strikes the side of the head or body even though they're standing toe-to-toe). Eyes also aren't fixed to only look straight ahead. Also faces are 3-dimensional not flat (ok maybe that one's not always true in Wigan).







I'd suggest you rewatch the incident without your cherry and white glasses on...(you can find it on that well known video sharing website)...

Yes, Magennis is trying to have a go at a wigan player (like you I'm not sure who but it definately could not have been Mossop as he's stood away to the side). Mossop comes in from the side, clocks him and then sneaks off again be back slapped by his team mates - sorry but it's an out and out cheap shot (but as I said above it's karma for Magennis' own cheap shot as Tuson tried to turn away).



It's such a sly shot that the first time I saw the incident I thought why has Mossop been banned when he kept well out of the biff...

The MIDDLE of his face. Not his cheeks. Not his ears. The middle of his face. His nose. Right on the kisser. It was far from a chaep shot.

You could yes and equally if you were stood to the side of me you could also as Mossop did to Magennis.

I watched the video on youtube thank you very much. I did so before replying the first time but it just wouldn't be RLFans if I hadn't been patronised.

Maybe things work differently for you but for me when two players are scrapping man to man that's when you DON'T get involved, except to break it up. If someone has been throwing left right and centre at one player, moves onto throwing them at another who was trying to break up the fight and then throwing punches again at another team mate then that's when you DO get involved.

If the gloves don't fit, you must acquit!

I find it funny there were three red cards in this game and four overall bans and in the NRL there was some 'controversy' over a yellow card in the SoO - Magennis deserved a ban for his cheap shot & Mossop probably did as well - the rest should have been yellows - and reds certainly should have sufficed (in terms of bans) IMO
