I think it's amusing how we only see these sort of threads when clubs have to travel up to Cumbria. What about when the Cumbrian clubs have to travel in to the M62 corridor? Last season Workington played at Doncaster on a Thursday, evening on Premier Sports and I think Whitehaven played at Sheffield (?) and nobody seemed bothered.

Slightly OT but if people are complaining of a 2.5/3 hour journey on a Thursday night then feel sorry for the Liverpool fans who are away in St Petersburg tonight



And no I am not a liverpool fan. I think in RL fans have it very easy to go and watch every game if they so desire compared to just about any other sport.

We had 3 away games on tv this year .Town away no problem,swinton away on a Thursday night again no problem and eagles away Thursday.We requested the eagles game to be change as its over 4 hr's from whitehaven

Exactly. I've travelled to Bournemouth and Gillingham on Tuesday nights with the Gillingham match being called off just as we came off the motorway. We went round the roundabout and got back on. 2 days holiday wasted.

If a good product is all it takes why bother marketing anything?





no one blamed premier sport for lack of viewers, he simply stated it has very few viewers.....and its hardly exposure when its an obscure channel that most people haven't heard of, you're hardly gonna grab the casual viewers. For the few hundred that's knocked off the gate of every TV game without recompense every club could go out and buy a digital camcorder and put the game on youtube. all this deal means is that the casual fan will sit in the pub and watch the game rather than go to the ground and put money into the clubs...i'm getting sick to death of this 'get what you're given and like it' mentality from certain SL fans
