Millions, Cap or not Rich, SOC would have invested 300k in 1st team alone if the criteria was promotion and relegation (Which it should be in my book) but as you said he has run 5 teams since 2008 application and done everything the RFL have asked and that includes the famous "ticking of the box" in our NR Cup win at the 1st possible chance of doing so. I personally think if Leigh have true asperations of SL next time around they will also follow WV lead and allow a dip in 1st team form to compensate fulfilling other criteria in Academys/U15s/U16s/off field criteria. Halifax need to re tick that box (ie win something) and then get there youth set ups going again. IMO 300k wont run a totally succesful club as in a all winning 1st team AND youth etc

I don't think you understand the way the Salary Cap works , it is 1 st team relevant only , Widnes will have spent up to the max for the last 2/3 years , just as other clubs have , unfortunatley poor recruitment , both in players and coaching staff has resulted in a couple if poor seasons , it happens , because of the licencing system it doesn't matter , you are the best Championship ' Club ' , and are the only club in the Championships that is anywhere near strong enough to move up to SL

Anyway I am made up Widnes are back in SL,cracking club with good fans,I also shout for them as they have always been my second team due to their excellent team of the 80's.

I will be the first to say performances wise no we dont deserve it but stadium, facilties,finances,acadamy and business plans wise yes we do. Were probably stronger than at least half teams in super league on that case.
