As has been pointed out numerous times on here , the RFL is not responsible for individual clubs finances , essentially its nothing to do with the RFL , there is no need to inform them of anything

| the RFL wont be happy as it could make a total farce of the league if the top players are axed and only juniors left. If that happens then surely they cant allow the Bulls to continue as the 8 teams left to play them this year will be facing academy line ups.......
They either finish the season with current squad or their results to date should be expunged to keep credibilty........

| Quote Inflatable_Armadillo="Inflatable_Armadillo"I am sure that ones of the world's largest & most respected accountancy practises in the world might have a different assessment! You have no idea what KMPG's report to the RFL said... but I suspect it will have been a fair assessment of the financial risks the Bulls were under!'"
....at which point the RFL will probably have said to KPMG "Thanks for that but don't worry about it, we'll vouch for them" or in Aus Speak "She be right, mate".

Good to see you've finally accepted a key point.
However, Bradford are still a member of a [icompetition[/i operated by the RFL and as such have an obligation to fulfil their fixtures. Any action which might compromise their ability to do so should, at the very least, have been communicated to the RFL in advance.

| Looks like Bradford have approached Noble to coach them on a voluntary basis.
I wonder if he will poach Iestyn Harris to be his assistant

| My first thought when I read that they were looking for an unpaid coach was that Nobby would stick his hand up. Either way, I feel for every one of those who have lost their jobs, and hope they can find a way out of this hole.

Which they have.

Yes they do. It may not be a legally binding one but they have an obligation nonetheless. Although I am aware that the administrator will hardly be worried about such niceties.
In actual fact the RFL statement doesn't say that they felt they [ishould[/i have had advanced notice, just that they didn't have any and are meeting with the administrator to find out exactly what's going on.

| "Firstly administration is an attempt to find a way for the club to continue. IF IF IF this fails New Co set-up. New Co acquires the assets of old co (after the big boys have had their "meal"icon_wink.gif. New Co end up with some players it owns, some players on loan to the end of the season and the name but most importantly none of the debts. New Co then agrees with the RFL (with the support of SKY ......oh and Im sure they will ask the other teams as well) to step into the void to fulfil a temporary vacancy within the superleague structure and fulfil the remaining fixtures of old co.
End of season applications made by all relevant parties to fulfill the vacancy based on normal SL application criteria......Prediction Halifax promoted in place of "Bradford 2012".
As for the rules allowing it, dont know the specific regulations but in previous season it has been stated that "provisions are available should a team find it impossible to fulfil its fixtures""
I posted this a week ago and I still think its what will happen in the end. Clubs who take on Bradford players and then loan them back will be given special dispensation by the RFL that these wages will not count towards the cap until next year. The "obligation" being taken over by the buying club will include a factoring of the wages they will be playing (eg:- Wolves buy bateman for £300k, wages to end of season £180k, hand over £120k). The action taken by the adminsitrator is nothing unusual and they have absolutely no obligation whatsoever to inform the RFL of their actions prior to taking them. If the action leave Bradford in a position of having fulfilment obligations it is those who have been tasked with the day-to-day running that must now do so. I think that Bradford will play this weekend against Bronocs and then there will be 2 weeks for them to sort the next step out (with Bradford not being involved in the CC semis).

Something must have been wrong, you don't go from being a good franchise application to near bankruptcy in such a short space of time. Also, I don't have much faith in these so called financial 'experts', look at the state the country is in, never mind Bradford Bulls
