The point is we are entering the great unknown. As all the leavers have focused on immigration and you'd be safe with them (not one has committed to actually reduce immigration) you would expect tighter rules, though it won't change a jot in reality to the numbers coming in and those leaving. You might also expect tighter rules on tax as well particularly for non-UK citizens. Broad policies may have some unexpected implications on all sorts of activities including sports people and the impact on someone with a grand parent who once lived in a Euro country. However this will take years if not decades. The clubs will have plenty of time to put in place clear strategies to protect their player pool, grow your own etc. Of course as its rugby league I doubt many clubs will even consider it until it's too late and its happened to them.

The insularity of London made it into a close contest, outside London the ethnic areas outside of the capital like Birmingham, Blackburn, Bradford voted leave with bigger margins which was a surprise.

The public yesterday voted to leave, at this point and until we go through a process we are still part of the European Union. A date for when we actually exit has not even been identified. It will now take the politicians and civil servants and a whole host of lawyers the next two years to work out our exit. Even then its unlikely that some aspects would be implemented immediately if at all. If it is poposed to change (affecting the KOLPAC) then a date in the future will be set after which it will no longer be available, nor would it be applied retrospectively. Those already signed on that basis may have exemptions, residence type of status or something else.

I think it's far from certain that we *will* actually leave, anyway. As SR says, there's a hell of a lot to be sorted out first, even if we do.

Likely happening. Not definitely. It was not a legally binding referendum, it was advisory not mandatory. Lots to sort out, even possibility of second referendum.

I think Cameron resigning has more or less cleared the decks for article 50 to kick in, which is a document that apparently no one knows how to implement involving 80 000 pages of agreements guff to sift through, which obviously KOLPAC be in there somewhere.
