Maybe you underestimate them in a one off game? We have seen championship clubs run SL clubs close or better them in the CC, maybe Toulouse can do the same? Would give the club and players a big stage to show themselves on and may motivate others to join them and make them stronger for eventual inclusion into SL.

the annual pre season friendly was an attractive fixture though even that was scrapped by the Catalans last season as they found playing SL opposition more beneficial - the outcome was always one-sided but popular with the TO13 fans with 3000 crowds turning out - it will be interesting to see if ex TO13 coach Robinson reinstates the fixture



players from all the LER clubs are always watched closely by the Catalan scouts and ex Toulouse players to be given the chance recently at Perpignan include Vincent Duport and Antoni Maria and latterly Kevin Larroyer who looks an excellent prospect in the second row

Nah, it died quite a while ago to be fair...this is just another nail in the coffin. It is just a cosy club where the current incumbents can decide and dictate who they want to join and on what basis, without any reference to the rest of RL. At the very least, could they not have gone through the motions of a mini-franchise bid to at least give a thin veener of being above board? On second thoughts, that would be a waste of money for the hapless Championship clubs who were conned into applying.



Do the people at the RFL have no shame at all?

I think it's a proud moment for the game. It's great how clubs stick together like a family to help out a troubled club. Salford, Castleford and London must be breathing a huge sigh of relief knowing that their future is insured by their fellow league members. I am over the moon and i must confess, teary eyed.
