| I'm not going to pan a player I havn't seen, but could he lose weight, get fit, learn the rules and get up to speed without having a pre-season? Remember Tuiga'mala? It took him nearly 2 years to get up to speed.

| I didn't know he'd played the game before. That makes a big difference, will he be able to cope without a pre-season. He'd be playing Rugby non-stop for nearly 18 months.

| He would. full 2009 season, 2009 tour to South Africa and a full 2010 season of Rugby Union.
Nice one Barry, glad you came. Why do you bother?

So you think a game of Rugby lasts for 24 hours a day and there is one played every day of the week for 18 months?

| Quote Scorpions for SL="Scorpions for SL"Not a fair comparison, Peacock and Graham both put in big minutes hence they are more lightweight. He is a stone lighter than Paleasena and he will already have very high fitness levels being a full time professional athlete
'"
If we're paying a fair wedge for Powell then I'd expect a lot of minutes out of him. A lot more than Paleaaesina that's for sure. You've also compared him to one of the props with the least time on the field in Super League and one of the most out of shape in the modern game. I think my comparisons are better and expect people to want a Peacock or a Graham type player than a quarter of the game Paleaaesina if we pay that much to sign him.

No Barry, you ignorant get, of course not. But he has been training non-stop for all that time, the body needs rest. I'm not calling the lad, i've never seen him play. All i'm saying is he has had hardly any recovery time for his body to rest. From what people are saying now, he's had an injury, which is good if he makes the switch as the rest of his body has rested.

He will play more minutes than Paleaasina, I was just pointing out that he isnt too fat and unfit to play SL like you were trying to claim. Also in value for money terms he will bring a lot more fans hence money into the stadium than a NRL prop would do
