| Quote SmokeyTA="SmokeyTA"You arent buying a car. You are buying a business. One that is peoples jobs and livelihoods. One that hasnt been involved in a crime. One which provides enjoyment to hundreds or thousands. One which is part of our great game. If we didnt have people like those at Bradford, or Michael Carter and his team at Wakefield. Those clubs would be dead. They wouldnt be better run, they wouldnt be spending less on players and sustainable, they wouldnt be thriving teams at a a level they can afford or any other other catchphrases people want to use to justify their bloodlust. They would dead and gone and the game would be poorer for it.
Punishing the people who try to save these clubs is not only shooting ourselves in the foot, its kicking the Dr in the balls and spitting in his face for having the audacity to try and heal it.
Heck, he became a Doctor, he deserves kicking in the balls.'"
Absolute tosh - there'd still be a team in Bradford.
There's been 2,3, 4? attempts to sort out the Bradford mess and all have failed despite the use of administration/ripping off the guilible. This new lot are already careering down the slippery slope with the reported loan/advance/call it what you will revealed recently. Oh, and administration was merely a vehicle to spite a creditor (one who actually saved the Bulls from going completely belly up not long ago, no less).....and those in charge of the newco are the same lot who were running the oldco. Deserving of punishment - you bet they are

Can i run up huge debts in a business and petition the court for administration out wonder? Out of contentment? Out of a general feeling of dread? Out confidence maybe? If it is a positive emotion do you still get a punishment? Or Do you get a reward if you put a club in to admin out of happiness?
I have quite honestly heard it all now. The reason an RFL member club should be punished, is that the man who ran up huge debts for that business, lost his money in it and those who run up huge debts for our clubs need to be protected from those trying to rectify the situation not paying them all the money they lost in running that club in to the ground back.
That Michael Carter is a real bugger isnt he, whats he doing now, signing players, upkeeping a stadium keeping a club afloat, doesnt he realise poor Ted Richardson and Andrew Glover lost money at Wakefield. Why isnt he paying those poor lads back eh? I demand punishment!

Smokey, you choose to mention Wakefield, again.
Please try and remember that Wakefield were punished with points deductions for their failing and although
Andrew Glover still has a loan unpaid, this is something that he has agreed to.
Are you, in the interests of fairness, saying that ALL directors loans at each pro rugby club should be called in, or are you using Wakefield as a smoke screen (no pun intended), just to try and reconcile Bradfords increasingly desperate plight.
You really are losing the plot and the more you comment, the dafter is sounds.
Shall we start the bidding with Mr Fulton at Cas, or better still Ken Davy at Huddersfield,

| Can someone please tell me unequivocally:
1 - What % by value of Wakey's creditors (excluding amounts owed to owners/directors) was repaid by the newco post-administration?
2 - Whether HMRC were repaid, and if so whether in full?
Serious question - since I've never managed to come across those numbers, and they do seem to have set some sort of a precedent for the scale of points deduction penalty reduction.

I think this panto needs some audience participation... so:
Richardson at Wakefield ... I knew him a little.. and I would suggest, given the satffing at the club and his mode of operations... over his long tenure at the club he would have been close to profit or at worst breaking even.. at the end he did not have the resources available to keep the club going so administration arrived and the club felt the full force of punishment at the time... (and had Crusaders not collapsed on the verge of refranchising, Trinity would have been relegated)
the current situation was with Glover... He thought he could run the club like his double glazing business... and couldnt. Had he called in his loan, the club would have faced a second administration (and according to RFL would have faced expulsion from SuperLeague and relegation by 2 divisions) ... Michael Carter took over the running of the business - and Glovers shares by agreement - and has worked tirelessly to plug the financial shortfall and spend within the clubs commercial means. Currently the club are operating within a reasonable plan and budget and meeting the due dilligence requirements of such business. Glover is still has an outstanding loan to the club but is unlikely, ever, to call that loan in.
I dont care what Bradford do... you can even put a pantomime cow or widow ty in your ever entertaining production... just dont distort the situation at Trinity to suit your argument.

I have searched COMPANYCHECK.CO.UK but can find no record of these two.

Nah, would've had nothing to do with Glover 'calling in a loan...the intent was to escape creditors and drop debt and Carter has admitted as much on numerous occasions...not quite sure why youre trying to re-write history, but crack on.

Adey's points are extremely valid for those wishing to heap punishment on the Bulls. If going into Admin and paying creditors nothing ( £0.00) equates to a 6 point penalty then what percentage being paid to the creditors (excluding owner/director loans) gives a 2 point reduction is if 33%.......???????????
