HKR have the final piece of funding in place for the new Nth stand. The current Nth stand will be moved to the STh area now (maybe will stop the Hull fans moaning!) with building of the Nth stand to commence soon.

Both projects are subject to seperate grant funding bodies and by the time the East Stand funding was approved the expected approval of the North Stand funding was not far away and the club decided to save some cash by combining both projects and awarding the contract for both to one main contractor. As it turned out the final approval for the North Stand took longer than was anticipated and the only work carried out on the East Stand todate has been the ground clearance i preparation for the pilings to go in, I would be suprised if the East Stand is started before the season commences as the emphasis will be on moving the current North Stand to the South in preparation for the North Stand work commencing in the new year. |
