heard it on radio manc at 10am was the usual negative storyline ie salford avoid winding up order no credit for paying the debt ourselves without the need to ask the rfl or fans of other clubs ect ecton

That's what a neighbour told me and he said that they retracted it shortly afterwards by saying that the tax bill had been paid.



Perhaps a certain reporter for the MEN is moonlighting for the paper?

Manages to make what should be an upbeat message, ie no outside help needed paying our bills ( as always) comes out as negative. and Again we get the famous 8000 crowds mentioned !



Is it too much to ask for an up beat we pay our bills, matchday income is up we are looking to build on this for a bright future.

Don't really see what else Tarry could say, it's obvious we don't have bundles of cash (and we don't resort to the sob story Bradford have just used to cover their rampent mismanagment) so the people who bank roll the club do what they can when they can do it.

Strikes me sometimes that certain mindless posters on here would be happy if the people who did bank roll the club withdrew all help and let the club die, it wouldn't die slowly it would be a headlong dash into obvlivion that I suspect would take a couple of months before the whole thing imploded.

Most probably just brinkmanship - clearly there was a load of smoke & mirrors earlier on when the story first broke - my bet would be that our current account doesnt look too healthy & like any business in that situation we've taken it right to the wire - good cash management.
