This thread has MASSIVELY cheered me up this morning, and I am now looking forward to tonight's match again.



I thoroughly expect us to be beaten comprehensively, and wouldn't be at all surprised if we play badly, but I've put up with that for the vast moajority of my Salford-supporting life.



What I can bear is the thought that 'fans' like Wardley Red are becoming a majority at the Willows, and this thread has reassured me that there are far more sensible, reasonable RL fans out there than there are illiterate nut-jobs.

What a shock

not mised a home game all season so how this a shock... just got bk from a weekend away in ireland the most expensive country ever and can seriously not afford it

Won't be there today, but if we play some entertaining stuff for the first 30 mins we might be able to convince some of the Pub supporters to come to the next game, after the 30 all the pubs will switch over to the Football.



We need to take the game to them, i hope the Salford Coach got some ideas last night about exciting rugby and bringing in the crowds, there was quite a few little kick overs and off the cuff stuff which our lot are quite able to do.

To the Fans Ignore the Salford Coach get behind the team they may respond and play to level they are capable of and we just might win.



Oh and before the I have never missed a game (including wedding day) brigade come on, family has to come first today, but my season ticket will already be counted.

There just seems to be an awful lot of people on here recently who rant inanely and dish out abuse but don't bother actually supporting, or even watching, the team.



Perhaps they are just more obvious than sensible, reasoned who miss the occasional match (such a you Pev).

If you feel strongly enough about something, make a reasoned and well thought through argument. As soon as anyone starts going on about 'The Slug' and dishing out abuse, all normal people switch straight off.



Trouble is, the likes of the posters that come out with the abuse would be giving it someone else if it wasn't SM. Be it Wilky (For not spending enough apparently), Simms (For not really doing anything), The Club itself (For not doing countless things), and any one of the players that might have the audacity to have an off-game.



Their argument lacks any realistic alternative.

Can only agree with The Butcher on this one. While i am as disenchanted as anyone about numerous facets of our club i would much rather discuss it with thoughful intelligent argument than be reduced to infantile name calling. I despair at what other clubs supporters must think if they wander onto our message boards. Yes there is lots to be unhappy with but can we please try and discuss it as mature people.

well im only looking at the facts and out off 15 games hes won 1 game so in any other sport the coach will be nervous about there job.i didnt like the singing at wakefield from a few fans.its not the worse salford team that iv seen anyway,still reckon we will pull a few good results this season.
