I can't see the logic in constantly chopping/changing our first team squad. What we need is a bit of continuity and stability if we want to make any form of progression.



I'm at a point where I'm feeling completely disillusioned with what is happening behind the scenes at our club.

JGR has most of the story correct, its no coincidence that all the want-way players or players already left are the so called "Big names" the club came out with when Marwan took over.



Ways around the cap were well publicised at the time by Marwan himself stating they were easy to get around, the problem is if he decides to change his mind about being forthcoming with this "added incentive" then the players quickly turn, as would any one of us.



TP, Locke, Hock, HH, Paterson, Rangi, Morley all fall into this category so work the rest out for yourself.



Fages is a completely separate issue which is to do with player protection & wellbeing, im sure this will also come out sooner or later but I don't see anything but a Fages victory in this instance too.



The rest of the players on normal contracts will be getting paid as this is covered by the RFL payments to the club from the TV deal. The recent player extensions were announced after both players were offered around to other clubs with no interest forthcoming.



The major issue is that the RFL are fully aware of all the breaches, brown envelope non-payments, behind the scenes problems, bailiffs, non visa payments, insurance issues, kit issues, medical staff concerns as are all the other clubs, coaches, players ETC and therefore I really don't see how this will all work out in the end?



I just don't see it being positive, IMO I think the players did well do find the motivation to finish 11th.

Brown Envelopes? Don`t make me laugh. Bookmakers use them every day to reduce Racing Runners to less than 8 and less than 16. Untraceable arent they?

I am sure Marwan will get all players truly focussed with the excellent bonus expected for Sundays game.

Brown envelopes might be non-traceable, but promises of additional payments on letter headed paper from other business interests are not.

A couple of players retiring due to whatever reasons is hardly going to create the headline news that people at the trade papers are saying the full story is going to create.



I actually do feel a bit for the Leigh fans, the players and officials involved can walk away but the fans still have to go to the games and they are the ones who will face the brunt of it.

Any of the current squad are replaceable, of course they are. The problem is when the staff turnover is so high (behind the scenes also), any bonding, team spirit, etc, is lost and we have to start from scratch. Again. No team sheds players at the same rate we have done over the past 5 seasons...
