| I think it its important that we don't make any knee-jerk reactions in relation to Noble and yesterday's abysmal performance by the team. It is clear that we are in a transition phase and Koukash is doing the right things behind the scenes. I guess the main frustration is that the background work isn't having any effect (yet) on the pitch.
It's only a matter of time before things pick up. Lets keep the faith and get behind the team. With any luck we'll be laughing about yesterday's game in a couple of years when we're making small but steady steps in the right direction.

| Just read the following quote from Noble on the club site
"But technically they kicked far better than we did. We got a lesson on how to kick the ball tonight. The way we are finishing our sets is killing us".
If kicking is all important why leave out Snyed our best kicker from hand, OK he may be the best of a bad bunch but at least he is the best kicker.
I had to listen to the first half and get on a plane and it was even more pain for me, we seemed to ushering Wakefield through all the time. One thing that was constantly mentioned was the sheer size of the Wakefield pack in comparison to ours so think Noble will shortly have to revert to type and get some big units on board (I'd go for Ewan Dowes until the end of the season as he's a pack leader).
One plus was that Adam Neal was co commentator on BBC and was pretty decent at it, let's hope that SKY take note of these things for future reference.

| Rubbish heartless performance !!
We have got to have the worst halfback back combination in SL with and ageing Aussie who should have stayed retired and an 18 year old who has promise but at the moment is definately not SL standard.
A backrow that couldn't burst its way out of a wet paper bag, no fullback at the club who can tackle and organise things, two more over-rated, unfit Aussies, one 'halfback' playing hooker with stats that make your toes curl, and a prop thinking he is an halfback rather than doing the job he is paid to do!
We have other forwards who like to wear the shirt but for some reason dont like getting them dirty, and a coach who is persisting with the same team of 'EXPERIENCED PRO'S that is simply getting whooped week in week out.
Rant over....still depressed though !

| Noble getting grief? I thought it was the spineless lot on the pitch getting it, myself.

| I did have a bad feeling before the game last night and that was on seeing the photo of the head coach and captain at the races. It reminded me of when I was very young and a struggling sports team spent time at the golf course instead of being on the training field. My immature mind forced me to believe they should be spending every waking minute trying to improve instead of 'enjoying themselves' elsewhere.
I do not think the owner should be visiting the inner sanctum of the dressing room before the game or at half-time.
We are now in a situation where, for arguments sake, our squad of 'poor' players have not shown any sign of improvement since Noble took over and we are to expect Noble, and his 2 assistants, none of whom appear to have worked together before, will very shortly be attempting to mould a side with a raft of recruits of better quality.
Do we all believe that the coaching staff are capable of that when we have not noticed any improvement above 'poor' from this squad of players ?
The lack of leadership, shouting and pointing,[iesprit de corps[/i all noticeably missing last night.
We need to stick together and maintain the support but after the last 2 performances watching the grass grow holds more appeal.

| One thing that was noticable yesterday was the lack of communication when we conceded a try. Half of the players were standing and staring at the big screen to see who was to blame. It should be a time to get your heads together, get motivated and clear your head. I didn't see any leadership qualities on that pitch yesterday.

| A serious lack of interest from most of the players. Morale is obviously low but it doesn't excuse not giving your all.

| At 32 Stephen Wild's got to be worth another year at least I think on reduced contract terms. I'd offer him 50% take it or leave it. Wildy still has the workrate and creative skills to put players over the try line as he showed at the millenium. I think he's just playing at the back of a lightweight, lazy pack that has no runners or aggression.

| You will see the real Nobbys next year when he is coaching money as opposed to players, there are very few good man management coaches. About these days and its the guys working with a decent cheque book that shine. That said you should go well next year.
Any spare brass just chuck it to us at Cas
