| I hate the boo ing, have NEVER AND WILL NEVER ,boo off the players and like many of you have seen some God awful performances over the years.
This year for the first time,we did not buy season tickets ,apart from my daughter we got the pay as you go .As it turns out a good idea, judging by the performance on Friday.
As has been said before we do not seem to have a plan B .the players bought in off season have experience and do not seem to play as they used to..... why is this ???
If we have a coach who cannot move the team on ,we cannot afford to sack or will not leave,do we get an assistant in and move him aside or hope for the best............................................................

| cant see why everyone is moanin
The fans lift the team or the team lift the fans, if both need lifting which is where we are then you get stuck in a spiral which without a massive change will continue.
What makes it worse with our young players this will probably hampen their growth and never probably recover.
Half time 2 points behind if the shed was even half bouncin we'd have kicked on and won it, instead they scored twice (one dodgy forward pass but we'll let that one go as well so thats......... dodgy decitions against 2 dodgy decitions for Nil in two games) and us fans just turned on each other which hurt more than the defeat itself.
Seriously considering not goin to leeds, as its my turn to drive i might go and stay in the pub cant see the point in paying to watch a game when both halfs of the whole believe already we are beaten

| Quote nnn="nnn"Sweeping generalization.
I also deduce that "proper" supporters don't criticize the club- full stop!
You have to agree that both on and off the field this season so far has been an utter and total shambles.
It is about time things changed. 3400 for the opening game of the season is as dismal as the inept performance. Last season it was 4,026 for a game on SKY! Nice to see that promotion and membership have successfully produced an upsurge in support.
If you pay your money you are entitled to show your displeasure. Hiding heads in sand will not get us another franchise (even with the BBC close by). At least the majority of people that boo turn up regularly.
Finally, who expected Salford to be top four with the current squad/coach? I expect us to be rock bottom with fewer than three/four wins all season. The reality is Salford got thumped by Crusaders not Leeds or Saints.'"
very well put

| Probably not my final note on the subject although I hope so because I'm sick to death of it - I didn't boo at the end because I'd lost all interest, I did boo on the 3rd and 4th occassion where we were undone by the same move, that for mine was the just adding insult to injury, it should have been sorted end of!
The boo's didn't just come from 20 or so fans from the shed as people are assuming on here, my girlfriend was in front of the willows and they were booing around her and she also heard it from the main stand. So some posters on here don't boo, thats fine by me, some do, others tend to bottle up their emotions or are simply happy with their lot, thats also fine by me. One things for sure though is that it's something that wont change so no point in bleating on about it on here!
To the poster who asks which coach will be next for the boo boys? I dont know? but I'd be hoping it would be a trend we could finally break free from!

| Quote The Black Cat="The Black Cat"Walshovski has stated that burying your head in the sand doesn't help either! FWIW booing and chanting disgruntled comments has helped immediate matters in the past, fan power can remove a coach/manager/TV pundit from his post, Ashcroft (twice), Harvey, Gregory (ish), Jack and Harrison all got it and went. Wilko hears and feels the pain of the shed and tries his best for us. Beleive you me those boo's have not fallen on death ears. Good job some people are prepared to state the bl00dy obvious for mine.
Some people on here will be delighted with championship football forever, thats the impression I get!? Sit on your ar$es if you like!'"
As reasoned as your argument may sound, that might just about excuse the booing of McRae as he left the field.
Why then were each and every one of the player booed as they left the field, despite the fact that McRae was well out of sight by the time they left?

| I know this topic has been debated many times before, but the atmosphere has generally got a lot worse over the last few years. We've always had a decent noise coming from the shed, but it seems to have gone away. Whether its because people have been forced out due to the actions of some of the less intelligent fans we have acquired (such as once I took my mrs who was less than impressed with the racist abuse of some scrote behind me), or just personal preference the atmosphere has definitely gone.
Again I know this has been mentioned, but feel its needed now more than ever, if we can get a decent group of people together in the shed to raise a bit of noise regardless of how turd we're playing it will surely lift the rest.

| I didn't boo at the end either, what a good lad I am, I don't boo full stop, but the game from Salford was so bad I had already retired to the club with 20 mins to go to try and drown my sorrows. So club playing = me buying more beer in club, could bev a marketing ploy.
Personally i wouldn't waste a Boo on McRae, I have always said I doubted his ability and I have yet to see anything that will change that view, infact a boo is too good for him, he likes to talk, so silence is his worst enemy.

Aha. I knew it wasn't just me that was getting narked off. The said group, assuming you're talking about the large group of p1$$ heads stood near the front to half way up the shed, not too far from the left side of the dugout really do need to be dealt with. They really do spoil it for everybody else with their loutishness. Problem is, the players will tar us all with the same brush. A bunch of p1$$ed up morons who know s0d all about rugby league and are only there to behave like hooligans.
I genuinely believe, the better members of the shed should take action against these muppets. Now the last time I checked, mass-murder was illegal so, how about a collective shift down the shed? "The shed-reborn." It could be just like the old days. The days when there was an atmosphere. The days when we realised we were crap but still made a point of out-singing the opposition fans. The days when I used to get my mates to come down to games with me with the confidence that they would return having had a cracking night... Not been able to do that for a long while... Dunno how LukicJ has managed to stick with us.
I know considering the problems that exist at the club at the moment that such positivity may seem utterly inappropriate to many of you. But, the usual crew will continue to attend and endure games. We may as well bring some enjoyment back into it. And you never know, the players may recognise a change in atmosphere, and may even improve. We may, and I know this is a long shot at the moment, we may even win a game or two!
ARGH! I WANT TO ENJOY GOING TO SALFORD AGAIN.... ARGH....[/i

| Quote OrdsallRed="OrdsallRed"I'm in the same boat as you on that one mate.
I 100% agree with that and that is exactly how I feel as well, couldn't have put it better.
This Friday was the first home game I've missed in lord alone knows how long and I can honestly say I didn't miss it. That alone upsets me'"
You can sign me up as well. There used to be a sense of perverse enjoyment in taking pride in the club and our city despite the failings they both clearly have. Now it just feels like out-and-out masochism.
Looking around the Super League though it seems that most clubs are in decline. Celtic are showing all the signs that they won't last the course, Hull KR are one cock-up from disaster judging by the size of their debts. Wakefield are in trouble as usual. Quins are still going nowhere. Leeds seems to have stagnated through lack of competition and Saints are knackered now their golden generation has gone. Bradford are in reverse and Wigan are treading water. The only teams you could argue that seem to be solid are Huddersfield and Castleford.
The quality of rugby on display is terrible as well. I can't remember the last truly entertaining game I saw. And what has happened to the star players? I remember always being able to watch one or two really talented players who could do something special every week, no matter who was playing. Players that you'd get excited about the prospect of seeing like Alfie Langer. I can only think of two players in the whole of Super League that I'd actually specifically watch a game to see at the minute; Kyle Eastmond and Brett Hodgson.

| I was as disapointed & annoyed as most on Friday , the overall performance was not up to Super League standard , positional play was inept , and the team was ' out enthused ' and tactically outplayed by a team that had only been together less than two months and had played no pre-season games. I applauded the visiting team because they played well and were worthy of some respect, I suspect this applause alone would have been humiliating enough for our team, to boo afterwards was just plain puerile.. I was gutted, fuming, I had invited new potential supporters to the game and put them through an excruciatingly bad 80 minutes, and not even the prospect of a free band , comic etc would tempt us back into the Willows , we had to get out of there.
I bought my membership/season ticket even though I had reservations and sensed it wasn't a smart move by the club at this economic time.
I remembered the first game last season when we just managed to beat the Crusaders due to a good twenty min start. they came back strongly and we just edged the win , this was followed by a run of six losses where we shipped in 253 points ...
We have a team with a new half back pairing , new backs and for whatever reason less experience without Wilshere, Stapleton etc . Look at Bradford, they have brought in higher profile NRL ' Stars ' but are still coming to terms with changes in key personel.. so be prepared for more let downs.
I saw potential in Dan holdsworth whose 70 odd minutes was in some repect a silver lining.
I'll be at Leeds on Friday supporting our team, we are Salford Supporters thats what we do.
