| Quote Lefty="Lefty"Just to clarify. You were paying Goulding as Wigan could not fit him under the cap due to the signing of Gleeson.

So that now means that Wigan are now over the salary cap with Goulding now playing for them, plus the other returnees from loan because of injuries.

It's my understanding of how a loan deal works is that the parent club (in this case wigan) still pay the players wages. Plus Wigan only let him go out on loan because they couldn't guarantee him first team rugby. If they couldn't fit him under the salary cap then surely he would of been sold outright.

No because I would imagine that Hock is now no longer on the cap.

so who planted the white powder? Noble to get his players back.
Has Hock been sacked yet?
All reports say wigan are standing by him, so they must still be paying him to do another job, like with the players wives and girlfriends, he might be the new social secretary.

If he is no longer a player he is no longer on the cap.

You never know with your lot. Going off some of the posters that appear on the Wire board I have to assume the worst.

| In response to the original topic discussion and not the argument with wire fans over the salary cap, to claify, Myler has signed for Warrington and will be a Warrington player next season. Fact.
How much we received in a transfer fee I don't know. Or whether we received any players plus cash, again I don't know. What I do know is he turned down an increased contract from Salford for £100,000 a week.
Although if it settles any arguments he only signed for them after the statement he published about his head being in a spin!?
IMO I don't think he will shine as much at Warrington as he has at Salford and won't handle the pressure under Tony Smith.
I think he should have learnt his trade a little longer at salford not because he owed it to the club but owed it to himself.
Good luck to the lad. I can't say I blame him if there paying him considerably more than the £100,000 Salford were offering him innthe updated contract , but make no mistake Richard Myler has signed for Warrington. Fact.

| Haha. Yes £100,000 a year. For how many years Salford offered that im not sure or whether it was say a 3 year deal rising £10,000 a year finishing say at £120,000 in the third an final year of the contract as I have seen with other SL contracts.
The only detail I know and am 100% certain of is that not to long ago he signed for Warrington.
And will be licking Mr Smiths boots for 18th man spot if they sign any more Myler type's hehe. Sorry couldn't resist that last bit being a Red :/
