I'm not sure I'd miss Theo to be honest. I've always been a bit underwhelmed with him and never understood the hype. This whole tribunal thing is just the final nail for him, I'd be happy if he didn't come back to Salford.

Whilst Theo' representatives haven't cited money issues in their case for resignation, unfortunately they could have done if they wanted to. However there are other pressing breaches which they obviously feel gives them a pretty robust case.
I did put on here a couple of weeks ago that Theo categorically would NOT sign another contract with Salford, at that time I didn't expect this to be the outcome.
In all of this, lets forget Theo season has been cut short early, he wont be paid a penny more by the club and cant sign for another club until the conclusion of a tribunal. I doubt very much that this is the end to his Salford career that a lad who has grown from a boy to a man (with the help of some fantastically dedication Salford fans) whilst being at the club wanted. This was the very last option available to him.
Theo should have been the future of this club, instead they went and signed a 30 year old Michael Dobson on a 4-year-contract. Whilst I agreed with the Dobson signing and thought for 2 years, he could provide an excellent mentor for Theo, particularly to help bring on his kicking game (arguably his poorest attribute holding him back from being a top SL scrum-half) but 4 years was taking the p*ss. It meant Theo wouldn't get the starting 7 shirt until 2019 at the earliest. I can appreciate and understand his upset. He also hadn't been offered a contract extension since March this season.
Do I blame Koukash? I am not sure. He can only go off the advice his coaching staff gave him and they clearly said sign Dobson. Both he and Chase earn in excess of £170k per year, so how can you then justify offering your other half (regardless of his potential) a pay rise when the chances of him playing are extremely limited. Koukash must take the blame for the contract breaches though and the sooner he realises you cant treat RL players as he has done, the better.

I thought a contract was,you play for us,and we pay you money,so if if we have payed him,what can is gripe be or am I missing something.Personally if we can get someone to pay one hundred thousand,good bye Theo,but is anybody that daft.

Is there a destination rumoured behind this? Or just a determination to get away from Salford? I know Cunningham and Long praised his potential which seemed to coincide with his transfer request, but there hasn't been anything on it since. It would be hard to see us signing a third halfback when we're paying a lot to Walsh and Burns.
Any Leeds/Wigan/Catalans interest?

Wonder what Theo's agent is actually saying in his ear. Is he telling him, his value is more that it currently is? If is agent thinks he is going to get a move to a "big" club, is he going to get more game time? He is no where near starting standard SL player, I'm thinking which side he'd actually get in, maybe Widnes ahead of Mellor? However he always seems to have a stormer against us. Maybe Bradford came up he'd switch there? He had his chance to shine for us when Dobson and Chase where out, and the kid offered absolulety nothing, no game managment, poor kicking, never took the line on.
I know it's the agents job to get best deal for player but the real loser in all this will be Theo.

Totally unfair judgement that. Had his chance to shine when Dobson and Chase were out? Give it a rest, the kid was the only half-back we had for 6 weeks and was playing behind an injury ravaged and suspended pack for the most of it.
I think there are plenty of options open to him. Saints is the obvious choice, to link with Long again and serve a season under Luke Walsh before taking over the 7 shirt. Hull FC is another option, I don't know how much longer Leon Pryce has got left but they may look to have Theo and Sneyd as their 6 & 7 (how ironic).
Wherever he goes, I have no doubts he will succeed. For his age, the kid is a top player who is only going to get better and better. The real shame is him having to sit out the remainder of the season as well as leaving the club under such a black cloud.

When he leaves,at least it'll stop the debate about just how good he is.
In my opinion,he's going to be a very good SL player but,at the moment , he's not one of our best 2 half backs and we need that ready made not in the future. But,if Rangi leaves..............
The judgment about his performances when Chase and Dobson were out is totally unfair. You can't ask a kid to replace 2 half backs !
His kicking game is poor but he certainly attacks the line.
