Pointless and v boring.



OK we have a small pack so why dont we have a coach who can instil players to run wide into gaps a la Reg Houldsworth last night - line deeper - so they are running on the ball. Our tactic should be to run the opposition forwards breathless rather than constant barging.



Its the Australian way though isnt it? Tedious fayre.

Agreed - this season, amazingly we have some pace in the backs so why oh why were we playing up the middle being outmuscled instead of swinging it wide?

because the SLUG's gameplan was based on how the Welsh team played against Leeds which was up the middle leaving gaps on the outside and the SLUG did not spot this.

As it happens... the conversation stemmed from me asking why we were so poor. Why they seemed so lazy and uninterested. What there excuses were.... that was the excuse they gave me. I didn't tell them it was a ridiculous comment... but I did ask them what they were going to do about it and said how it wasn't really fair on the fans, and why on earth they expected us to turn up week in week out.



I certainly feel that it's worth the fans knowing what was said and what to expect... and perhaps why we look so poor.

And what did these so called players say they was gonna do about it Loyalfan ?

They didn't answer the question.

Did anyone notice the smug grin on the SLUGS face as he joined the que into our flash 2 foot wide players tunnel!!

Lets me honest he couldnt give 2 foooks deep down inside bout the club we live for!!hiself and father ted over the last few years are really laughing all the way to the bank atthe expense of the club we love..END OF..name anything positive they have done to help take the club forward!!????(dont say a clean sweep in national league as my gran could have coached that team to the glory we had that year!)

I put this on the Pie Eaters forum, they were saying the same about Ian Millward when he was there. If a player or group of players do not perform on the field because they have a problem with the current coach then they should be fined and have their pay docked. They do not play for the coach neither do they get paid by them and as "professional rugby league players" their sole intention should be to win every game for the club that employs them. When they pull on the Salford City Reds shirt on they must put any off field problems behind them or face the wrath of the board. We cannot let player power creep into this sport.

Agreed players should give 100% regardless of the tool in charge, but you can see why they become this way inclned. Was speaking to a supposed relative of a now departed player who ranted at me fr 15 mins about how the slug will sit filling his fat face with food while watching the players swim length after length in the pool etc, and that no-one has any respect for him. Also looks like he's coachign ability out of players, just playing boring rugby.



Who should we get in? Dont think it matters, anyone with a bit of passion whos more interested in the club than they are in fluffing scouse eddie would be an imporoement.
